GOLDEN NYMPH NOMINEES FOR 56th MONTE-CARLO TELEVISION FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED

Monaco, 12 April – The nominees for the Golden Nymph Awards, which will be presented by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco at the 56th Monte-Carlo Television Festival on 16th June 2016, were announced today*.
Entries into the 2016 Golden Nymph Awards have increased by 25% from the previous year, with submissions in 07 categories across Fiction, News and Current Affairs programming received from more than 65 countries.

Laurent Puons, CEO of Monaco Mediax, organisers of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, commented, "As the number of streaming services and channels continues to escalate around the world we are seeing an increased demand for high quality programming. Fiction projects are going straight to series and international co-production is on the rise - factors which have definitely been reflected in the high standard of entries into our Golden Nymph Awards this year. We are delighted to announce the nominees and look forward to welcoming them to Monaco in June".

The Monte-Carlo Television Festival will take place from 12th to 16th June 2016. The annual event celebrates the very best of television and delivers marketing and public relations opportunities to producers and distributors looking to access a large group of international print and on-camera journalists to promote and support their sales to worldwide broadcasters.
