PRESS RELEASE

UNIQUE ARTWORK FOR 56TH MONTE-CARLO TELEVISION FESTIVAL POSTER UNVEILED

The Monte-Carlo Television Festival has today revealed the unique artwork for the poster for its 56th edition which takes place 12th - 16th June 2016.

The poster features an ultra-modern depiction of the Nymph, the symbol of the event's official competition.

With an artistic edge lending the image a fresh and dynamic feel that contrasts with the metal of the award trophies, we're reminded that television is primarily a series of moving images.

The poster's bright colours sit against a dark background and recall the technology's origins, in a nod to the familiar test card that uses standard patterns to enable displays to be calibrated.Behind these colours is a wall of pixels, evoking new broadcasting techniques and the industry's continued technological advances.

With a palette of 256 colours, the poster reflects the broad spectrum that the event covers.

Please find attached the official poster.

Culminating with a unique competition, which celebrates and honours fiction, news and current affairs programming with the prestigious Golden Nymph Awards, The Monte-Carlo Television Festival has been recognized as one of the finest Festivals in the world, enhanced even further by its location in the magical Principality of Monaco.
