EMMY AWARD WINNER MARG HELGENBERGER HONOURED WITH CRYSTAL NYMPH AT 56th MONTE CARLO TELEVISION FESTIVAL

Monaco, 27th May – Emmy Award winning and Golden Globe nominated actress Marg Helgenberger will receive the prestigious Crystal Nymph Award at the upcoming 56th edition of the Monte Carlo Television Festival, it was announced today by Laurent Puons, CEO of the Festival. Helgenberger will receive the honour at the Festival's Opening Ceremony on June 12th.
The Crystal Nymph Award is presented to a major international television actor to recognise a stellar body of work. The Festival honoured Patricia Arquette in 2015 and Donald Sutherland was the inaugural Crystal Nymph honouree in 2013.

The Venitian glass master Giancarlo Signoretto (link) has created this year The Crystal Nymph Award, a unique piece of art.

Marg Helgenberger ended her twelfth season as CSI analyst Catherine Willows in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2013, for which she earned two Primetime Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations. Helgenberger's acting credits span some of television's most renowned series - from her breakout Emmy Award winning role as K.C. on China Beach, to CBS series Intelligence, and, most recently, Under the Dome.

Alongside appearing in original telepictures for Showtime, including the controversial Thanks of a Grateful Nation and Happy Face Murders, and CBS's Perfect Murder, Perfect Town, Helgenberger's other television credits include Murder Live, Stephen King's highly-rated miniseries The Tommyknockers, a Tom Hanks directed episode of Showtime's Fallen Angels, and the Oscar nominated short film Partners, as well as The Gold Coast, starring opposite David Caruso.
