Monaco, 1st June – The 56th Monte-Carlo Television Festival will open on Sunday 12th June with first episode of Dick Wolf's hit US drama series Chicago Med, it was announced today by Laurent Puons, CEO of the Festival.

The third installment of the compelling Chicago brand from Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf (Law & Order), Chicago Med is an emotional thrill ride through the day to day chaos of the city's newest trauma center and the lives of the courageous doctors, nurses and staff who hold it all together. Collectively they work with the first responders of Chicago Fire and Chicago PD and confront Chicago's most critical medical cases and challenging ethical dilemmas with courage, compassion and state-of-the art treatment. Inspired by ripped-from-the-headlines cases, Chicago Med weaves cutting-edge medicine with the personal drama that comes with working in such a high intensity environment.

Stars of the series including Oliver Platt (The Big C), S. Epatha Merkerson (Law & Order), Torrey DeVitto (The Vampire Diaries), Colin Donnell (The Affair) and Brian Tee (Jurassic World) will attend the screening, as part of the Festival's Red Carpet Opening Ceremony, attended by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Laurent Puons comments, "Dick Wolf, as Honorary Consul to Monaco, and his colleagues, have always been strong supporters of our Festival and I am delighted to welcome the cast members of this latest installment of the award-winning, acclaimed Chicago brand to our 56th edition. The Opening Ceremony and Screening is a fantastic opportunity to welcome television's leading creators, executives and talent to Monaco, kicking off our annual event with a dynamic and must-see screening that represents the very best in global programming".
