56th MONTE-CARLO TELEVISION FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF THE PRESTIGIOUS GOLDEN NYMPH AWARDS

MONTE-CARLO, 16th June - Winners of the prestigious Golden Nymph Awards were announced this evening at the 56th Monte-Carlo Television Festival. Golden Nymphs* covering a range of categories from television films, mini-series, drama and comedy series and news documentaries as well as a number of accolades including the International TV Audience Award; the Prince Rainier III Special Prize were presented during the star-studded Awards Ceremony at the Grimaldi Forum.

This evening, h.s.h. Prince Albert II of Monaco was joined on the red carpet by many leading US and international celebrities including an array of talent from hit television series such as Transparent, The Odd Couple, Scorpion, Hawaii 5:0, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, Chicago Med, Stranger Things, The Bold & the Beautiful, Poldark, Blindspot, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Code Black, Private Eyes and Bosch.

Laurent Puons, CEO of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, said "The 56th edition has delivered another exceptional event to celebrate the diversity and excellence of international drama and fiction programming. We are proud to offer this unique platform to launch and highlight these outstanding shows to the world's media and viewers, and I congratulate all those that have been presented with the Golden Nymph this evening. I would also like to thank our jury members and presidents, our many sponsors, and all the fans for their enthusiasm and contribution throughout this year's Festival."

Other highlights of the 56th Monte-Carlo Television Festival included the inaugural ConTech Academy; exclusive screenings; personal appearances and autograph sessions, as well as glamorous receptions organised by major television networks and studios, all of which contribute to the magical atmosphere of Monaco.

This year more than 300 journalists from around the world were present to cover this unique international television festival attended by the creative forces of the industry.
