The 57th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival will take place from June 16th to 20th 2017.
We are happy to announce that the submission period for our Golden Nymph Awards is now open. You can submit your program for free by clicking here.

You will find attached our updated Rules & Regulations and below the timeline for the 57th edition of the Golden Nymph Awards, as well as a few modifications applied to its format.

Submission Opens: October 3rd, 2016

Submission Closes: January 31st, 2017

Nominees to be announced: April 11th, 2017

Winners to be announced: June 20th, 2017

57th Golden Nymph Awards Updates

  • Current Affairs Documentary & News Documentary categories will be merged into a single category entitled Documentary. The category will encompass all single nonfiction programs intended to document a major story across news events, politics, religion, science, environment, economic and social issues.
  • The TV News Item category will be renamed News Item - an individual news segment, edited for a regularly scheduled newscast from a 24-hour news or traditional channel.
  • The 24 Hours News Program will be renamed Live Breaking News Story - live coverage of a single breaking news event, as it unfolds, from a 24-hour news or traditional channel.
  • Programs broadcast online will now be accepted in our competition.

Originally created by Prince Rainier III of Monaco, and now under the Honorary Presidency of Prince Albert II of Monaco, The Monte-Carlo Television Festival has, for more than half a century, presented the very best of television from around the world. The Festival has also been at the forefront in showcasing the highly talented professionals associated with many of the most successful programs in the history of the medium.

With an international overview, the Festival is considered a must attend annual event in the global content diary. Culminating with a unique competition, which celebrates and honours fiction, news and current affairs programming with the prestigious Golden Nymph Awards, The Monte-Carlo Television Festival has been recognized as one of the finest Festivals in the world, enhanced even further by its location in the magical Principality of Monaco.
