6 characters from The Walking Dead we miss

There are a lot of deaths in The Walking Dead… And this is not only characters we hate who die, on the contrary. A lot of loved characters disappeared from the show and they are now truly missed.

Rick Grimes
Rick Grimes

For a long time, Rick Grimes was the leader and main character of The Walking Dead, but he disappeared at the beginning of season 9, after sacrificing himself to prevent a big zombie horde from invading Alexandria. Thankfully, Andrew Lincoln’s character didn’t perish and was found by Alpha. Fans, who really miss the character, will see him again in movies centered on his new adventures in this apocalyptic world.

Glenn Rhee
Glenn Rhee

Glenn’s disappearance at the beginning of season 7 was a true turning point for The Walking Dead. It was marked by the arrival of Negan and the Saviors and also a huge drop in the ratings, which continued dropping episode per episode and season per season. Steven Yeun’s character was one of the most liked characters and his death incited fans to drop the show. His calm and serenity would do a lot of good to Maggie and her current group in season 11!

Carl Grimes
Carl Grimes

Carl was not always much appreciated by The Walking Dead fans, mostly because of his whiny personality and his reprehensible actions. Yet, his evolution was one of the show’s most significant ones and his death was earth-shaking. The reason? He survives until the end in the comics. If his heritage is now carried by his little sister, Judith, fans miss his presence and he would probably be one of the group’s leaders today.

Michonne
Michonne

Unlike other characters from this article, Michonne isn’t dead - or left as if she were - she decided to go and leave her own to look for Rick. She knows he’s still alive and will do anything to find him. The absence of her leadership and her confidence truly weighs on the show but she might come back before the end of The Walking Dead.

Jesus

Jesus was one of the coolest characters and a true badass on The Walking Dead and, sadly, he also died… If he died with style, it still hurt. True martial arts expert, he was a fighter like no other and a major ally for the rest of the heroes, whatever the conflict. Fans really miss his style now.

Hershel Greene
Hershel Greene

He was the voice of reason… Maggie’s father disappeared during the third season, killed by the Governor. His death had a huge impact on Maggie and the rest of the group and he’s still one of the fans’ favorites, even today. Sadly, Scott Wilson died in 2018, therefore Hershel won’t be coming back, even for a quick flashback.
