Screening of the documentary "AKRIS - Fashion with a Heritage »
Monday 16 June at 14:30
Auric Room, Grimaldi Forum

To mark the 100th anniversary of Swiss fashion house AKRIS, filmmaker Reiner Holzemer traces the remarkable journey of one of the last family-run luxury brands.
Founded in 1922 by Alice Kriemler-Schoch and now led by her grandsons Albert and Peter Kriemler, the film spans from humble beginnings to the international spotlight of Paris Fashion Week.
Offering exclusive behind-the-scenes insights - from the atelier in St. Gallen to a fitting with Princess Charlène - the documentary explores the creativity, heritage, and innovative spirit of the fashion house.
Featuring collaborations with artists and architects such as Imi Knoebel, Thomas Ruff, David Chipperfield and Sou Fujimoto, it is both an intimate family portrait and a captivating reflection on fashion as a form of art and legacy.
A discussion with Melissa Beste, Global CEO AKRIS; Albert Kreimler, Creative Director and Reiner Holzemer, Film director will take place after the screening.
It will be moderated by Genie Godula, journalist at France 24.
