In the second episode of the 60th Television Festival

20/06/2021

The Monte-Carlo TV Festival's 60th edition is keeping the dream alive for fans and invited guests on this second day. After a busy red carpet for the opening ceremony on Friday 18th, actors, actresses, writers and producers had a day filled with the fan meetings.

On the agenda: autograph signing sessions, passionate talks, screenings and overall, good times exchanging and sharing.

A day with the fans

Since the beginning, the Monte-Carlo TV Festival is made by the fans for the fans, and for this 60th edition there is no exception. While some went along side the red carpet to meet their favorite actors and actresses, others spent time in the Grimaldi Forum for incredible meetings. At 10 a.m. a "French'Iconics" signing session began with some of the cast of Life's so Sweet : David Ban, Léa François, Laurent Kerusoré and Elodie Varlet, but also of Cassandre : Gwendoline Harmon and Alexandre Varga.

At 1 p.m. other French stars welcomed fans with smiles and open arms for a new signing session: among them David Brécourt and Avy Marciano from Under the Sun, Laurent Olmedo from the show R.I.S Police scientifique and Franck Sémonin from Investigation Unit. A quality cast for a moment the fans will never forget.

A dive backstage of the Festival and its exclusive series

The Monte-Carlo TV Festival offers every year privileged moments for the fans with meetings with the stars. This way, they could truly exchange and listen with attention and passion to Guillaume Labbé and the casting of Life's so Sweet during two unique sessions. For lovers of the show Spiral, this June 19th was the opportunity for them to spend some time with Audrey Fleurot, Caroline Proust and Thierry Godard to discuss the original show from Canal+! An exceptional behind the scenes that allowed fans to ask questions and learn more about the backstage life of the criminal series.

100% French meetings ? Well not only! If American stars are less present, fans could still meet virtually the cast of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.

Many stars made an appearance for the photographers, among them Darren Star with his Honorary Nymph Award, or the cast of Mixte, the new French series, already loved by the public. Being the official makeup sponsor for the Festival, SLA Paris and its team of professional makeup artists had the chance to make the stars, but also the fans more beautiful than ever.

Screenings you cannot miss!

What kind of day at the Monte-Carlo TV Festival would it be without a screening ? It's impossible to picture it, and this year, the quality of content is still at its best. In the competition for best program of the year, Piece of My Heart, It's a Sin and Uncle Frank have already pleased the fans. The first series shows the hardships of the everyday life of Rita and Laura, two maternal assistants who are trying their best to help children in need. The second one dives in the beginning of the expansion of AIDS in the 80's, among a group of gay friends whose lives are turned upside down and they decide to life it fully. Lastly, the third series takes us in the 70's, where Frank, homosexual, with an intimate family story, has to face a deep buried trauma after the death of his father. Three touching stories it was impossible to miss.

Another day well spent and filled with emotions! See you next time for a program just as full.
