Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story

While fans of Bridgerton eagerly await the release date of the yet-to-be-announced season 3 of the period drama on Netflix, they will be able to watch the prequel focusing on the rise of Queen Charlotte, premiering on May 4th. This will be an opportunity to discover how the young queen's marriage to King George gave birth to a great love story that shook up the customs of the time and created the society in which the Bridgertons and their contemporaries exist. Quite a program!

The classic Spanish TV show Un paso delante is back on May 7th! The Spanish streaming platform Atresplayer Premium will kick off this long-awaited revival, after having offered fans the first episode of UPA Next for Christmas. In this sequel to the mythical show of the 2000s, we follow a new generation of students at the Madrid school of performing arts now led by Silvia Jauregui, as a musical production featuring all the hits of the UPA Dance group is being prepared. In France, the series will be available starting May 8th, the day after its Spanish release, on the 6play Max platform, with one episode per week.

The month of May will be highlighted by the return of the hit series HPI for its third season on TF1. Viewers can tune in starting May 11th to discover the new adventures of Morgane Alvaro and Adam Karadec after their kiss at the end of season 2. In an interview with the magazine Diverto, the lead actress Audrey Fleurot declared that her character would "experience a good depression" in the upcoming episodes because "Karadec did not follow up" and "she left her consulting position." So many twists and turns to come!

XO, Kitty

After the success of the To All the Boys I've Loved Before movies, Netflix continues the adventure with a spin-off series centered on Lara Jean's younger sister. Entitled XO, Kitty, the show highlights young Kitty Song Covey, who moves to the other side of the world to be with her boyfriend. But the teenager quickly realizes that love is much more complicated when it comes to herself... Tune in on May 18th to discover the ten episodes of XO, Kitty.

American Born Chinese
American Born Chinese

On Disney+, the month of May will also be highlighted by the release of a brand new TV show named American Born Chinese. Adapted from Gene Luen Yang's graphic novel of the same name, the series follows an American teenager of Chinese origin who, on his first day of school, meets a new foreign student. He will then find himself involuntarily involved in a battle between Chinese gods... The TV show, which casts Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan, is scheduled to premiere on May 24th.

FUBAR
FUBAR

Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the TV show FUBAR features a CIA agent who is about to retire. However, when he discovers a family secret, he is forced to return to the field for one last mission. Netflix, which will release this new production on May 25th, announces that "the series tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action, and humor."
