New York SVU to become the longest series of all time

20/09/2019

Renewed for a 21st season, the American series enters the legend.

The television channel NBC has ordered a 21st season of "New York SVU". With this announcement, the fiction is set to become the longest series (of its kind) in American prime time. By breaking the record, the program will outperform the series "New York, Judicial Police" which stopped in 2010 after 20 seasons, as well as "Gunsmoke", stopped in 1975 with 20 seasons under its belt.

Mariska Hargitay, the heroine of the series, who is present at the Festival for several years and honored in 2018 with a Crystal Nymph, will once again lead the cast this new season and said that she is proud and happy to be part of the show and the history of television.
Furthermore, with this record, Mariska becomes the actress who stayed the longest in an American primetime series.

On the other hand, Philip Winchester, aka Peter Stone, the prosecutor's deputy, will not return.

Will the 21st season be the last? Nothing is less sure... Will the series thus break another record?
