On this special day...

19/06/2020

I dreamed of offering you a star-studded line-up and an exceptional jubilee to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival. We should have shared this unique and precious moment together today.

Imagine... the red carpet, the unmistakable symbol of prestigious events, rolled out on the still scorching esplanade of the Grimaldi Forum, paving the way for the celebrities heading towards the cocktail party. Imagine... the photocall where all the photographers are gathered in the background, ready to shoot the arrival of the VIPs. Imagine... the crowd, eyes full of stars, standing in the fan zone and holding a phone and a pen to catch a souvenir on the go.

Imagine...the fleet of official cars with tinted windows driving past the luxurious hotels of the Principality and the Grimaldi Forum. Imagine... the most beautiful outfits, tuxedos and dresses of the great couturiers embellished with sequins and pearls, on the red carpet for the grand Opening Ceremony...

On this day of June 19, 2020, I have a special thought for all the artists and people involved in the Festival, but also for all the fans whose loyalty always moves me.

Even if the nymph is not able to honor the best of television this year, our team is already working to deliver an exceptional edition in 2021, always with the perspective of developing the international recognition of the Festival and the Principality of Monaco.

The 2021 Festival will be even more spectacular with new features in the competition, premiere screenings of the official selection, meetings dedicated to professionals, numerous public events and classy and elegant parties. Everything needed to make it the perfect fit of chic and glamour in Monte-Carlo.

I can assure you that this postponed 60th anniversary will be a memorable occasion.
