September is here, everybody is returning from their summer holidays! And it is time for TV lovers to discover a bunch of news shows. Let’s see what’s coming this month!

Vise le coeur

Led by Claire Keim and Lannick Gautry, Vise le coeur is a new cop show coming on TF1. They play Julia Scola, a police captain, and Novak Lisica, a lawyer, who were both very much in love while in high school. They’ve not seen each other for 20 years… Until Novak is back into Claire’s life when he is promoted police chief in her precinct. They’re gonna have to deal with their past but also their present… It starts on September 1st.

Lord of the Rings : The Rings of Power

It is the show everybody’s been waiting for this year. Lord of the Rings : The Rings of Power, prequel of Peter Jackson’s trilogy starts on September 2nd on Amazon Prime Video. We follow the adventures of a young Galadriel (played by Morfydd Clark). Amongst the different species living in Middle Earth, we also follow Sauron’s ascension, the creation of the rings of power and the formation of alliances that will forever change the landscape of this fantasy world.

The fifth season of Cobra Kai will be available on Netflix on September 9th. Daniel and Johnny’s students will have to train hard and double their efforts to beat Terry Silver, who’s getting more and more power. Meanwhile, Kreese will find himself in jail while Robby and Miguel will have to learn to deal with their issues.

Heartbreak High reboot is coming to Netflix on September 14th, with a whole new version of the emblematic Australian show and brand new characters. This show will apprehend new topics throughout its characters: drugs, sexuality, violence and also racism.

The Handmaid's Tale, season 5
The Handmaid's Tale, season 5

Expected to land on OCS on September 14th, the fifth season of The Handmaid’s Tale will be more intense than ever. The official logline reveals that June will have to deal with the consequences of having killed Commander Waterford. Meanwhile, she has to redefine her own identity and her goal. As for Serena, she’ll try to make a good impression in Toronto while Gilead’s influence is getting bigger in Canada. June, Luke and Moira will continue to fight Gilead from a distance while trying to find Hannah. Once again, the show calls for thrilling storylines!

Andor

The Star Wars universe is expanding once again with a new TV show centered around Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), Rogue One’s hero. The storyline precedes the events of the movie and we follow the character as he becomes an important part of the Rebel Alliance, at the beginning of the resistance against the Empire. The show is expected to start September 21st on Disney+.
