As it’s almost time to go back to school, the season brings along its share of new releases. Let's take a look at the six series not to miss during the month of September 2023.

Only Murders in the Building, season 3
Only Murders in the Building

Launched on August 8, 2023, on Disney+, the third new season of Only Murders in the Building continues throughout the month of September with one episode per week. The trio composed of Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) return for a new investigation. After Ben Glenroy collapses on stage, our three heroes re-enact the early days of the show with the technical crew and cast, all suspects, in order to determine whether foul play has been committed. This season's cast includes the one and only Meryl Streep as Loretta Durkin.

Scènes de Ménages, season 15

On M6, the couples from Scènes de Ménages are back for the 15th season of the TV show, broadcast every evening at 8:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to rediscover Raymond, José and Liliane, Fabien and Emma, Philippe and Camille, Léo and Leslie, Jalil and Louise, as well as Christine and Gilbert adventures. This new season arrives with exceptional guests, such as rugby player Sébastien Chabal, on the occasion of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Virgin River, season 5 part 1

Virgin River fans look forward to September 7th for the release of the first part of the season 5 of their favorite series on Netflix. What’s on the program ? Surprising new relationships, an unexpected separation, a harrowing trial, painful farewells, and a forest fire that brings together some residents of Virgin River while tearing others apart. The first ten episodes of this season will be released online, while the final two will arrive on November 30, 2023.

Burning Body
Burning Body

Úrsula Corberó, unforgettable as Tokyo from La Casa de Papel, is back in a brand new series on Netflix! On September 8th, the streaming platform will unveil its new Spanish creation, entitled Burning Body. The plot revolves around the discovery of the charred body of Pedro, a police officer, in a burnt-out car in Barcelona. This discovery quickly arouses public interest, especially when the investigation begins to reveal a network of toxic relationships, lies, violence, and sexual scandals involving Pedro, his partner Rosa (played by Úrsula Corberó), and Rosa's ex-boyfriend, Albert.

Class Act
Class Act

On September 13, 2023, Netflix will introduce its users to Class Act, the biographical mini-series about Bernard Tapie. Comprising seven episodes, this series features actor Laurent Lafitte in the role of the businessman, tracing both his successes and failures. The cast of this biopic also includes Joséphine Japy, Fabrice Luchini, Patrick d’Assumçao, Sarah Suco, Antoine Reinartz, Ophélia Kolb, Hakim Jemili, Alexandre Blazy, and Camille Chamoux.

Sex Education, season 4
Sex Education

September means back to school! And that goes for Otis and Eric, the heroes of the teen series Sex Education, which returns for its fourth and final season on September 21st on Netflix. After the closure of Moordale High School, the two protagonists return to Cavendish High School. While Otis is eager to share his therapy skills with other students, Eric hopes they won't be considered as losers this time around. Meanwhile, Maeve is living her dream at the prestigious Wallace University in the United States. A final chapter that promises its share of surprises!
