From Pitch to Premiere: Inside the Television Creative Process

03/06/2026

What does it take to turn an idea into a television series? In this panel session, Vikings and Billy the Kid creator Michael Hirst will trade secrets with contemporary creator Toma De Matteis (Un Si Grand Soleil) about how a show really comes together, from developing ideas, writing scripts and overseeing production - and the compromises and collaborations that are needed to get a series on screen.
They will also be joined by Rola Bauer (The Girlfriend, Shadowplay, Pillars of the Earth), who will offer a Studio Executive and Producer's insight into the creative process, revealing how writers and producers can best work together to ensure the creator's vision holds up in the final cut.

Saturday 13 June, 17:45 - 18:30
